BPEC approves NAPIT’S heat pump installer course

NAPIT has been awarded further BPEC approval for the new two-day Heat Pump Systems Installer Training Course, *designed for qualified plumbers, heating engineers, oil engineers or gas engineers wishing to install heat pump systems.

The Heat Pump Systems Installer Training Course is scheduled to run at the NAPIT Training centre in Avonmouth, Bristol on the following dates:

Successful delegates who pass the course will receive a BPEC certificate and competency card which enables installers to install both air source and ground source heat

NAPIT has further BPEC approval pending for applications to run rainwater harvesting, disinfection of water systems and risk assessments of water systems training courses.

A recent change in regulation means that any stored water (formerly subject to a 300ltr limit) must be risk-assessed and disinfected, with the responsibility being placed on the person working on the system, with no obligation to perform such tests personally.

*Delegates MUST hold who hold a recognised NVQ level 2 or 3 or earlier equivalent qualification, as well as Water Regulations/Bylaws and Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating Certificates (if their current qualification doesn’t incorporate it)
