The WPF range is already proving popular on the UK market due to its energy efficiency and high COP – the performance of heating provided over energy used.
The brine/water WPF35 is a perfect ground source solution for larger domestic properties such as farms, barn conversions or flat developments, as well industrial and commercial properties.
Stiebel Eltron UK’s WPF range of single compressor units now includes ratings of 20, 27, 27HT, 35, 40, 52 and 66kW, offering a bespoke fit for every renewable project. Due to its space-saving design and robust casing, the WPF35 can also easily be stacked one on top of another, for twin-set systems.
Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK managing director, said: “This is a welcome addition to our UK range of ground source heat pumps, giving our installer partners and property owners even more options when they are looking to go green. The WPF35 has been designed to the highest standards making it one of the most reliable and efficient ground source heat pumps on the market.
“The unit can be used in cascade operation for larger buildings but even then little space is required as they have been designed to stack safely on top of each other, with no impact on operation.
“This robust single compressor heat pump can easily be installed by means of a pallet truck or via lifting eyes, and a further positive is that the sound-optimised casing ensures an extremely quiet operation. When designed and fitted accordingly, the control system also allows active and passing cooling, making it ideal for the warmer months too.”
He also said that commercial projects which use the WPF35 will also potentially be able to claim back money through the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), making it an attractive product for both energy and cost reduction.
The WPF35 also includes safety devices such as pressure switches and frost protection in addition to a scroll compressor and a high-grade steel plate heat exchanger.
