With an annual production capacity of 300,000m2, BDR Thermea says the manufacturing facility will enable it to produce flat plate collectors tailored to the climates and requirements of individual European countries, including the UK.
Jose-Antonio Pérez, group marketing manager at BDR Thermea, said: “This investment allows us to fully control the production of our flat plate solar collectors – providing more differentiation in the marketplace – and to use BDR Thermea’s skills and expertise to full advantage.
“As part of the investment we have also established a Group R&D Competence Centre for solar technology at the facility, with the aim of developing innovative products to meet the ever-increasing demand for sustainable heating and hot water solutions.”
