Having delivered and developed biomass training courses since 2006, RDI Associates says that one area of increasing need for appropriately skilled people is that of heat metering for RHI eligible projects.
Heat Metering for the RHI – Get it Right First Time is a one day seminar on heat metering for biomass projects. The course content provides best practice guidance on the selection of the most appropriate meter, the correct location of heat meters, data collection and handling techniques and site specific considerations.
Biomass Health and Safety is a two day course designed for installers and operators of biomass boilers to understand the risks and controls associated with installation and operation. It covers risks in storing, delivering and handling biomass fuels and the risks associated with its combustion. Designed and delivered by experienced heating engineers from Kiwa Gastec, the course also introduces trainees to the Combustion Engineering Association’s BOAS accreditation for boiler operatives.
Ignite Woodfuel Quality Standards is a one day course that introduces biomass fuel suppliers and users to the full range of standards in use in the supply chain, and how to produce and specify the correct type of fuel ensuring it’s been responsibly and sustainably sourced.
