Announced in front of a crowd of South West business leaders in Plymouth, the award coincides with the GSHP manufacturer celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2014.
Simon Lomax, Kensa Engineering’s managing director, said: “In the last five years we have seen Kensa’s turnover increase five fold, and staff numbers increase by a third in 12 months. This performance is made even more remarkable due to the overall ground source heat pump market declining during this period due to delays in government subsidy programmes.
“Regardless of such delays, Kensa is now the UK’s largest supplier of ground source heat pumps, out-performing global and pan-European competitors. With hugely rewarding government programmes finally released for ground source heat pump customers, and our recent appointment of Chris Davis (formerly Dimplex) as our new commercial director, Kensa is on the cusp of an expected boom; the outlook for 2014 is hot.”
