The company’s investment in the new 6,000 sq ft ‘depot of excellence’ follows Gledhill’s reported growth in market share.
In reaction to increased demand, Gledhill opted to relocate its Hemel Hempstead team and capabilities to the larger site in Luton and recruit additional staff to help manage growth.
The new depot also has increased stock holding capacity to keep more of the firm’s products on site. The new depot also has a meeting room and a showroom/training facility which includes a range of Gledhill products.
Jason Hobson, managing director at Gledhill, said: “Our commitment to service is paramount and our new Luton depot is ideally located for access to the transport network which ensures faster deliveries and ease of collection.
“Indeed, in the short time since our Luton site opened, we have already experienced a considerable increase in collection levels and, naturally, with the increased size of the premises, we have extended our manufacturing capabilities for both standard and bespoke copper cylinder production to meet demand.”
