Based near London Heathrow Airport, the trade-only supplier has achieved significant growth in its first twelve months of trading and has quadrupled its staff – from the three founding directors to a team of 12.
A sister business to electrical wholesale distributor, Rapid Electrical, Rapid Renewables is focused on supplying installers undertaking commercial and domestic solar PV and thermal upgrade projects across the UK and has a senior management team with over 20 years of renewables sector experience and knowledge.
A timely decision
Commenting on the first anniversary of the company he founded with co-shareholders, Dave Budd and Scott Grant, Nick Edwell, director, Rapid Renewables, said: “Our decision to diversify our expertise into the renewable energy market has proven to be both a timely and exciting opportunity, as Rapid Renewables complements our long-standing electrical wholesale business very well.

Nick goes on to explain the advantage of the company having its own delivery fleet: “Solar panels and other sensitive equipment require careful handling and installers need the reassurance of having orders delivered to site by a specific time – a service that Rapid has worked very hard at in order to build up a respected reputation in the trade.”
