This strategic expansion offers an excellent opportunity for installers to tap into new markets and expand their business. UPOWA’s comprehensive, one-stop-shop solutions aim to help housing developers and businesses achieve their sustainability targets, supporting the transition to net-zero.

After a record-breaking year in 2023, which included the appointment of a new managing director, sales director, and finance director, UPOWA forged national solar PV partnerships with leading housebuilders Barratt Developments, Taylor Wimpey, and Redrow.

Easier for installers to access support

The new operational depot in Exeter will enhance UPOWA’s presence in the South West, supporting projects in Devon, Bristol, Somerset, and Cornwall. Growth in the Midlands and East Anglia will be driven by new depots in Sutton Coldfield and Bury St. Edmunds. These regional divisions enable UPOWA to provide localised service with the robust resources of a national contractor, backed by Brickability Group PLC, making it easier for installers to access support and resources for their projects.

Paul Terry, managing director at UPOWA commented: I am delighted to press go on the next stage of our growth strategy, opening three new operational regions. It will enable us to meet the growing sustainability needs of our customers and wider industry.

Having a regional focus will allow to train and develop a skilled workforce from the local community, tackling the green skills shortage, while future-proofing our delivery capabilities.”

188 years of combined experience

More than 30 new jobs have been created, bolstering UPOWA’s end-to-end capabilities and distribution network. Each depot will help create a strong regional approach running from each location.

Technical design and support, product and sales functions will continue to be based at UPOWA’s headquarters in Whiteley. While all programming, scheduling and aftercare will be managed from its operational hub in Lee-on-the Solent. With 188 years of combined renewable, electrical and roofing experience, the operations team will be perfectly placed to support each of the regional depots to ensure the highest standards of installation, quality and safety.

James Bull, founder and sales director at UPOWA added: “I’m extremely proud to see UPOWA officially open three new operational depots. We have seen record sales over the last year, and the new depots will further accelerate our growth plans. It will allow us to employ locally, while maintaining high stock levels in strategic locations.

This investment demonstrates UPOWA’s commitment and ability to scale and support our customers with the rising demand for our sustainable technology solutions.”
