The Vitocrossal 200 CI3 is available in eight output sizes ranging from 80 to 640 kW, with the capability for cascade operation of up to eight units, achieving a total output of 5120 kW. The compact design features a footprint of just 1.07 square meters, which is 55% smaller than previous Vitocrossal 200 models, making it suitable for apartment buildings, commercial enterprises, and local authorities.
Equipped with a single or dual modulating MatriX cylinder burner and a stainless steel heat exchanger, the boiler offers a standard seasonal efficiency of up to 94.8% and NOx emission levels below 27 mg per kWh.
Adjusts to different gas types
An automatic combustion controller contributes to ease of commissioning and consistent operational efficiency throughout the boiler’s service life. The Vitocrossal 200 CI3 is compatible with natural gas and LPG and is prepared for future changes in gas fuels, aided by a self-calibrating O₂ sensor that automatically adjusts to different gas types.
The boiler’s design includes a large modulation range of 1:10 for improved efficiency at partial load and two return connections as standard, allowing for low- and high-temperature circuits to enhance condensation performance. The high water content heat exchanger eliminates the need for a minimum water flow and reduces reliance on additional boiler shunt pumps.
Simplified operation
Installation is streamlined through integrated wheels, a practical transport pallet, and an accessible electrical connections terminal located at the back of the unit. The Vitocrossal 200 CI3 is also the first in Viessmann’s commercial range to integrate with the One Base climate and energy management platform, enabling simplified operation and remote system optimisation via the ViCare and ViGuide apps.
“This is a very user- and installer-friendly product that fills a market need for a really modern and efficient condensing boiler range that can cover heat demand up to 5.12 MW,” said Christian Engelke, technical director at Viessmann.
“We have customers that love the Vitocrossal 100 CIB so much they were previously installing 10-12 units to achieve their required output.
“Now they can meet their requirements with just two to four of these new models, which is much better as it reduces control complexity, spares requirements and is easier for the client. We’ve designed the Vitocrossal ranges to precisely meet the current and future needs of our customer base.”
