Beyond solar: S&S Live installer training hub to be ‘bigger and better’ than ever

For the first time, the Installer Training Hub at Solar & Storage Live Birmingham will extend beyond residential rooftop solar installation.

Opening its doors for three days at the NEC from next Tuesday, the Installer Training Hub will feature training sessions for the utility-scale solar market, alongside battery energy storage system training for the commercial market.

Brought to the event by Solar Energy UK and MCS, the Installer Training Hub has become a key feature of Solar & Storage Live – the industry’s biggest conference and exhibition. The hub is dedicated to solar PV module and mounting, battery storage, and inverter installation and commissioning, allowing manufacturers to showcase their products and offer hands-on training with up to 2,000 installers and end users in a dedicated workshop and theatre.

A wealth of opportunities

Sturge Mazzocchi, Head of Solar Careers Programme, said: “Having launched two years ago, the Installer Training Hub has become a major feature of Solar & Storage Live. Now on its fourth iteration, it’s even bigger and better than before, offering a wealth of opportunities, both for manufacturers to showcase their products and to make sure installers are up to speed with the latest kit.”

The hub will host presentations, tutorials, product demonstrations, Q&A sessions and bitesize interactive learning sessions to teach theory and practical skills.

Participating businesses this year are AphaESS, GivEnergy, KENO Energy, SolarEdge, Canadian Solar, OpenSolar, GSE Intégration, SAJ, Solarport and Sungrow.
