Chris has over 20 years of experience in the energy efficiency and decarbonisation sector, and has previously held senior positions at Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and Engie.

Chris’s appointment comes shortly after the first close of Naked Energy’s Series B funding round, in which the business secured £17m from leading investors E.ON and Barclays.

Off the back of the fundraise, Chris’s expertise will facilitate the business’s new partnership with E.ON, and accelerate the global deployment of Naked Energy’s Virtu solar heat and power product range.

Large sustainability contracts

Before joining Naked Energy, he spent six years as the Decarbonisation Director at Mitie Energy, helping numerous blue-chip organisations to build robust multi-million pound decarbonisation strategies.

His experience spans the industrial, health and public sectors, and his decade long career has seen Chris heavily involved in securing large sustainability contracts with internationally renowned businesses.

With several major installations underway across the UK, Europe and the US – including projects with the IHG Hotels & Resorts, and other major hotel groups – Chris’ international experience will help further cement Naked Energy’s global presence.

Christophe Williams, CEO of Naked Energy, said: “It’s a great pleasure to have Chris joining the Naked Energy team. We’re entering a pivotal phase of the business, and his experience in the energy sector will accelerate our growth trajectory.

“He’s had a distinguished and extensive career, and we’re looking forward to having his expertise help us on our mission to change energy for good. ”

Chris Strange, partnership business development lead at Naked Energy, added:“Through the innovative Virtu solar thermal range, Naked Energy will become the global leader in the decarbonisation of heat.

“I am delighted to be part of the journey, and I am looking forward to developing new and exciting partnerships.”
