SolarEdge to showcase next-gen solutions at Solar & Storage Live 2024

SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy technology, will unveil its latest products and solutions for the UK market at Solar & Storage Live 2024 (Birmingham, 24-26 September 2024)

SolarEdge Home residential inverter and storage

Exhibiting on Stand B25, Hall 19, with a focus on energy optimisation, SolarEdge will present its complete commercial storage suite (CSS) in the UK for the first time, while also showcasing the latest products and advancements in its residential PV software and hardware offering.

Among the new residential offerings, SolarEdge will unveil its latest SolarEdge Home inverter and battery, which will be introduced to meet the demands of the growing segment of larger residential solar+storage rooftop installations and full home backup. SolarEdge will also preview new integrations with third-party heat pumps and EV charging solutions, enabling UK homeowners to achieve greater energy savings and enhanced control over their energy consumption.

Solutions for energy optimisation

SolarEdge’s CSS offering is designed for small-to-medium commercial solar installations and addresses a variety of needs in C&I markets. It is powered by SolarEdge ONE for C&I, the company’s software-based energy optimisation platform which automatically optimises solar energy production, storage and consumption in real time, enabling businesses to maximise energy savings and meet their environmental goals.

The CSS-OD battery, suitable for use outdoors and indoors, is comprised of a 102.4kWh-rated battery cabinet and a 50kW battery inverter and is designed to be scalable in the future up to a total capacity of 1MWh per site. The system is factory pre-assembled and is supported by a mobile commissioning app for minimised time on-site and faster deployment. Available for pre-order now, deliveries are expected from January 2025.

CSS-ID, designed for indoor use, is a highly-efficient DC-coupled battery that provides up to 66.6kWh of storage capacity. When paired with a compatible SolarEdge three-phase inverter (SE25K-SE33.3K), the solution provides hybrid control of both the battery and solar system, making it especially useful for installations with constrained grid connections, while also reducing BoS costs. UK deliveries are expected to start in H2, 2025.
