As the new Labour Government announces more detail about its funded Warm Homes Plan, 100’s of retrofit professionals will gather in central Manchester next week to learn more about Greater Manchester emerging devolution deal, and how that will support rapid retrofit delivery.
The Home Upgrade Show, taking place on October 10th and 11th at the iconic Victoria Baths, is a cornerstone of Retrofit Action Week and will host the region’s inaugural Retrofit Supply Chain Meet Up.
Organised in partnership with RISE and backed by leading retrofit specifiers and practitioners, the event brings together industry leaders, existing contractors and installers, and those seeking to enter the burgeoning regional green economy.
“Collaboration is the key to delivering retrofit at scale and speed,” emphasised Graham Lock, Founder of Low Carbon Homes and organiser of the event. “It’s inspiring to see those involved in designing, specifying, procuring, and supporting retrofit coming together to support their suppliers while also encouraging new market entrants.”
The meet up, supported by Your Home Better, People Powered Retrofit, Retrofit Hub, Procure Plus, Green Economy, and AECB Greater Manchester Local Group, will feature presentations from GMCA, RISE, and other event supporters.
These presentations will delve into the future of the local retrofit market, the role of devolution in driving its growth, support available for new market entrants, and insights from industry veterans.
Retrofit Action Week, which runs from October 5th to 13th, is a region-wide campaign designed to raise awareness of retrofit and catalysze its delivery.
The Greater Manchester Retrofit Summit, another key event, will take place online over three mornings (October 7th, 8th, and 9th) and will explore how devolution can support retrofit scale-up.
As Greater Manchester takes a leading role in the UK’s retrofit transition, this gathering of professionals will shape the quality of future homes and contribute to regional and equitable region. green economy growth.
