Leyton Orient FC powers up with Horizon-funded solar project

Horizon Energy Ventures has enabled green energy specialist Ampergia to complete a 362.79kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) installation at Leyton Orient Football Club (LOFC).

Solar panels

The solar project, supported by Horizon Energy Ventures, involved the installation of 834 JA 435-watt panels and three 110kW Growatt inverters. It is expected to generate nearly 246,000kWh of electricity annually, reducing the club’s energy costs and aligning with its environmental goals.

Steve Tait, LOFC’s chief operating officer, said: “The project went seamlessly from start to finish, and we’re already seeing significant savings of 40% on our energy bills. This investment supports our environmental goals and makes financial sense for the club’s long-term future.”
