New Wolseley centre will equip installers for renewables growth

Wolseley Group has launched Renewables Centre, a nationwide initiative to support heating professionals looking to benefit from the fast-growing renewables market.

Renewables Centre launch

Whether installers are new to renewables or looking to upskill, Renewables Centre offers a one-stop shop for accredited training, MCS-certified design, installation support, and access to high-quality renewable products.

With heat pump demand up nearly 90% year-on-year and renewables expected to grow from 5% to over 27% of installer workload in five years, the opportunity is clear. Renewables Centre will equip installers to seize it.

A partner brand to Plumb Centre and supported by Renewable Equipment Solutions (R.E.S), a recent Wolseley acquisition, the service includes:

  • Step-by-step MCS support – from estimate to certification
  • Accurate heat loss calculations and design
  • DNO approvals and contract setup
  • Help accessing Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) funding
  • On-the-ground technical guidance during install and handover

“One of the biggest barriers Our customers tell us one of the biggest barriers to renewables is access to training and expert support, commented John Hancock, COO of Wolseley Group. “Many installers want to expand into renewables but don’t know where to start. Renewables Centre will enable installers to take their first steps with confidence.

“The heating and energy sector is changing rapidly, and we’re at a pivotal moment. Installers across the UK are about to face a surge in demand for renewables, and they need access to the right training, products, and technical support to take full advantage of this shift and make it profitable for them.”

The first flagship centres will open in Shrewsbury and Swansea, with regional hubs rolling out across the UK.
