IOR’s Women in RACHP Network Announces Guided Tour of Queens Quay Energy Centre – The UK’s Largest Water Source Heat Pump Project

The IOR’s Women in RACHP Network is delighted to host a guided tour of the Queens Quay Energy Centre on Tuesday, 7 October, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The Queens Quay Energy Centre is home to Scotland’s first major water source heat pump – a groundbreaking renewable energy system that extracts heat from the River Clyde and distributes it via an underground district heating network. This landmark initiative represents a major step forward in delivering low-carbon heating to homes and businesses, while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the energy centre and view large-scale heat pump technology in operation
  • Hear from project experts involved in its design and implementation
  • Gain insight into the future of sustainable heating and cooling solutions
  • Network with others keen to find out more about low-carbon innovation

The event is free and open to anyone involved in or studying refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump technologies.
