The Renewables Installer of the Year, Liberty Energy, walked away with a cheque for £10,000 courtesy of Plumb Center as well as praise from the Renewables Awards judging panel: ‘This is the business that serves as the best example of what a renewables installer needs to become.”
David Blount, managing director of Liberty Energy, picked up the award and said “We’re particularly delighted to win at the Renewables Awards. It is an endorsement of all our staff’s commitment to delivering the right customer experience and helping to address fuel poverty.”
Liberty Energy won through to the Renewables Installer final by winning in both the Biomass Installer & Commercial Installer categories, meanwhile, TSG also won two categories in Air Source Installer & Heat Efficient Installer. Moreover, Evo Energy were crowned as Solar Installer, HT Energy as Ground Source Installer and Dave Clarke & Son as Water Efficient Installer.
In the project categories the Rural Homes project, Apedale Energy Centre & Warwick District Council won their respective awards, while Dumfries & Galloway Housing Association were awarded the trophy for Renewables Client of the year.
Sevenoaks Energy Academy were recognised for their Renewables Training Initative, while Dimplex Renewables picked up the Green Invention award for their innovative Air-Eau product. Tony Sampson of Cornwall Solar Panels won New MCS Installer of the year, while Sharokh Sabba of Rayotec won the contribution award for his 30 year commitment to the industry.
Dan Caesar, managing director of the Renewables Awards, had this to say: “We were delighted that Renewables Awards successfully raised the bar again, and we would like to thank the hundreds of guests that made it a great night. The Renewables Awards, will return to the Ricoh Arena on Thursday 12th September 2013 and if your project, initiatives, product or business deserve recognition, you can enter from 1st March.
