Paul Nightingale, who was appointed to lead Enphase’s expansion into the UK in June last year, predicts strong growth for the company now that it has established a foothold on these shores.
“The last 12 months have gone in the blink of an eye. We started the UK operation in March last year and have been shipping products since September,” he said.
“I have been building up the UK team and we are now completely self sufficient with no reliance on the head office in California.
“Our distributor network was put in place at the end of last year and we’ve just held our first distributor conference to look at strategy for 2013.”
Mr Nightingale has urged installers to let the company’s products do the talking with its microinverters promising to make PV systems smarter and more efficient.
“Our products have already been in Europe so we’ve always had a track record of performance in Italy, France and the Benelux countries. The company’s policy is ‘no compromise’ so we have full confidence in the quality of the product we have.
“UK installers we have already spoken to have said that using our microinverters gives them the opportunity to differentiate themselves. They can see the opportunity it gives them to grow their business as, in many ways, the product is perfect for the UK market.”
Paul Nahi, ceo of Enphase Energy, added: “We are continuing to invest heavily in R & D. Our fourth generation product will ship later this year and our fifth generation is being tested on rooftops as we speak. Innovation and technology is central to our performance.
“We can help you, the installer, create a more profitable business. Our products are easy to install and are right for the homeowner as a more efficient system equals a more profitable system. That combination is why we are the number 1 microinverter manufacturer in the USA and are rapidly gaining market share in Europe.”
