The Judges applaud NatWest for training up their staff in response to the growing demand for renewables funding, when there are many other more established sectors equally hungry for credit.
Finally, the REA Judges’ Award this year goes to Andrew Garrad.
Andrew founded what has become the world’s largest wind energy consultancy Garrad Hassan, which last year became the Renewables Division of Germanischer Lloyd Group (GL GH), employing 1,000 staff worldwide, a quarter of these in the UK. Andrew is now the Chairman of GL GH, and also the President of the European Wind Energy Association.
