InDax is supplied as a package complete with fixings and flashing in individual modules. Redland says the minimal number of parts and low weight makes for quick and easy installation.
The company adds that InDax modules have been thoroughly tested to ensure they provide the same levels of weather-tightness and resistance to wind uplift as roof tiles while the technology used for the PV laminate delivers one of the most efficient power outputs on the market. The System meets all the product performance requirements of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
Demand for this system is expected to come from residential developers needing to meet local planning requirements for renewable energy generation and from public sector developers building to Code Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Either way, Redland describes the key selling point for the product is its aesthetic appeal: the low overall height and the black coated aluminium framing make for an unobtrusive addition to the roof.
