The 12kM course saw Jason tackle fire, electric shocks and barbed wire in order to raise funds to enable six-year-old Lilly May, who goes to school with his daughter, to travel to America to receive revolutionary proton therapy treatment for a brain tumour.
“The last months have been a terrible strain for the family and I’m thrilled that everyone has been so generous in supporting me through this mad challenge,” said Jason.
“I never thought I would be able to do something like this, but when Lilly May’s first operation failed, there was such little hope I felt I had to do my bit.
“Lilly May recently started her nine-week intensive treatment programme and I, along with everyone at Gledhill, will be thinking of her and wish her well.”
