Heating manufacturer Vaillant has teamed up with housing association Brent Housing Partnership and maintenance repair and installation specialists Oakray Heating to offer renewable and boiler training to 30 promising engineering students.

The students from the further education provider Brent-based College of North West London received their training at Vaillant’s training Centre of Excellence in Cambridge. Here, they were taken through a demonstration of Vaillant’s boiler, controls and renewables products in action.

“Brent Housing Partnership are proud to be working in collaboration with Vaillant, Oakray Heating and the College of North West London to provide a fantastic opportunity like this to students within the borough,” said Gavin Pierson, gas monitoring manager at Brent Housing Partnership.

“As a large social housing provider, we have a responsibility to assist the wider community within Brent. We look forward to undertaking more collaborative ventures in the future.”

Mark Derbyshire, commercial director at Vaillant, said: “Training is at the forefront of our desire to add real value to businesses. We’re delighted to share our expertise with the next generation in increasing their knowledge and understanding of our advanced heating and hot water solutions.”
