The visit was partly due to Labour’s pledge to drive green technology. Business rates were also on the agenda with smaller companies calling for low rates in order to expand and meet growing demand for renewables.
Prestige’s founder Nicholas Whatley said he is expecting demand for Green Deal measures to dramatically increase following the recent launch of the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund.
“We became MCS accredited and Green Deal Installers as we firmly believe that renewable technology is the way forward,” he added.
“These incentives will be appealing to an even wider spectrum of the public. It should give companies such as ourselves a significant boost and is another step forward in reducing our emissions.”
