Stirling Council already has over 600 PV systems monitored by PassivSystems’ management product PassivPro. To date, this installed capacity has generated over £1.7m kWh of free electricity for residents per annum and annual income of £280,000 under the Feed-in Tariff.
Stirling Council chose PassivSystems and the PassivPro management system to optimise power generation and provide information including weather compensation and performance comparisons. Via PassivPro’s online portal, users can immediately see data to ensure their PV systems are operating to maximum efficiency.
Gregor Wightman, property and private sector housing manager for Stirling Council, said: “We’re delighted with the effectiveness of PassivPro since carrying out our first installation in 2012. Stirling Council has so far invested £3.8m into solar PVs for our residents, so it is crucial that they work at peak efficiency to recoup our expenditure.”
Colin Calder, CEO and founder of PassivSystems, added: “Our work with Stirling Council shows just how far local authority social housing providers have come. PassivSystems is proud of the excellent results we have achieved with Stirling Council, and look forward to the partnership developing further in the coming years.”
