Jamie, from Anytime Plumbing & Heating, Rotherham, played football competitively until a car crash meant he was no longer able to take part himself at such an intense level. Still passionate about the game, he undertook his Level 1 Coaching Certificate and currently coaches Millmore Juniors under 11s.
After successfully applying to the BPEC Sport Awards, the grant has allowed Jamie to improve his coaching sessions with pop-up goal posts, bibs, training equipment and other items to enhance the youngsters’ skills, performance and enthusiasm.
“Being a coach is so important to me, I’m so proud to be able to pass on my knowledge and skills to the next generation of footballers,” said Jamie. “Thanks to the BPEC Sport Award I can really strengthen the coaching I’m able to provide and also support the local community’s youth.”
