Sustainability high on agenda at UK Construction Week Birmingham

Renewable energy, the future of sustainability and smart home technology will all feature at the UK’s largest event for the built environment, UK Construction Week (UKCW), which makes its return to Birmingham’s NEC from 1-3 October.

Across the three-day show, UKCW Birmingham will be home to a wide range of renewable energy and eco-conscious exhibitors showcasing their products or services. Industry professionals and enthusiasts alike will have access to ample networking opportunities, face-to-face meetings with high profile brands and knowledge-boosting seminars and workshops, all of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

With a focus on strengthening sustainability in the construction industry, the Net Zero Hub, sponsored by Reconomy, will make its debut appearance at the October show. The new area will be partnering with National Retrofit Hub, a non-profit collaborative organisation working with the industry to enable the delivery of housing retrofit across the UK, who will be programming panel discussions across all three days.

Officially opened by Channel 4 presenter and architect, George Clarke, UKCW Birmingham attracts over 20,000 visitors from diverse backgrounds, including engineers, builders, contractors, and suppliers. UKCW visitors span the UK and beyond, with the show attracting more international professionals than ever before seeking the latest industry trends, innovations, and networking opportunities.

The show will feature hundreds of leading brands, including Artex, Kingspan, SIG, Don & Low, Biffa, Fischer Fixings, Reco Surfaces, Bricys, PlanRadar, BetonBlock, Build Warranty, MERS, Reconomy, Ford, Utility Parts, Speedy Hire, and more.
