He broke into the first XV last season, playing key roles in various matches, including Gloucester’s European Cup Final, where he stood toe-to-toe with world-class second rower Eben Etzebeth.

Grassroots roots to pro sponsorship

Mypower’s involvement in rugby started at a grassroots level, where they have supported Stow-on-the-Wold rugby club, the same club where Clark honed his early skills. The sponsorship at Stow, where Arthur played alongside Jack Harrison, the son of Mypower’s managing director, Ben Harrison, reflects the company’s continued commitment to local sport. This is also the club where Gloucester icon Ollie Thorley began his rugby journey.

Established in 2010, Mypower has become one of the more experienced commercial solar companies in the UK. The business has installed rooftop solar for several well-known companies across Gloucestershire, including Stewart Golf, Markey Group’s Premiere Kitchens, Leeways, International Plywood, G-TEM, Dairy Partners, and even Gloucester Cathedral, which won an award for its solar installation.

Managing director Ben Harrison commented on the evolving solar landscape: “With the change in government, we’ve seen a shift towards utility-scale renewable energy. While large solar farms have their merits, they also take up valuable agricultural land. As a business, we focus on utilising rooftop spaces to generate low-cost green energy directly for businesses, saving them substantial amounts on electricity.”

Expressing pride in sponsoring Arthur Clark, Ben added, “We’re thrilled to support Arthur as he brings his power game to Gloucester Rugby this season, much like how we’ve powered businesses across Gloucestershire over the past 14 years.”
