This latest recognition adds to the S735’s growing list of achievements, including winning ‘Heat Pump of the Year’ at the HVR awards and being shortlisted for several other prestigious honou

The S735 offers a compact, all-in-one solution for heating, hot water, and ventilation without the need for an outside unit.

This makes it ideal for densely populated areas where air source heat pumps (ASHPs) may not be suitable. Launched in late 2023, the S735 is NIBE’s most powerful and energy-efficient exhaust air heat pump yet, combining high seasonal performance, low running costs, quiet operation, and the use of low GWP R290 (propane) refrigerant.

State-of-the-art smart controls

Part of NIBE’s S Series range, the S735 features advanced controls accessible through the myUplink app. These include CO2, temperature, and humidity sensors that optimise ventilation based on occupancy, weather-responsive controls, and integration with energy provider tariffs for cost-efficient electricity use.

Paul Smith, managing director of NIBE UK, said: “We are delighted that the S735 has been recognised as the ‘Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year’ in the Energy Saving Awards.

“Momentum is growing for EAHPs, a technology that has been commonplace in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe for many years; NIBE was, in fact, the first company to bring EAHP products to market in Sweden, in the early 1980s.

“Winning this accolade comes at the end of what has been a great year of awards for NIBE, with two other wins and a number of shortlisting’s for the S735 and also our S1256 Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP).

“2025 looks even more exciting for exhaust air heat pumps – we will be bringing the NIBE S735C to market, which can provide cooling as well as heating, hot water and ventilation – a total climate control solution for new builds and urban environments.”

Energy efficiency highlights

The NIBE S735 builds on the success of the F-Series EAHPs with key advancements that enhance environmental performance and operational efficiency, including:

  • improved environmental credentials: “By using low GWP R290 (propane) and further enhancing efficiency, the S735 has an A+++ energy rating with a published SCOP of 4.29.”
  • enhanced power: “The S735 is NIBE’s most powerful EAHP to-date.”
  • reduced running costs: “Thanks to its enhanced efficiency and high seasonal performance factor.”
  • smart controls: “The NIBE S735 benefits from some of the most innovative, comprehensive and easy-to-use controls available, which also contribute to improved energy efficiency.”
