The partnership will enable Voltalis’ demand response technology to be rolled out rapidly, effectively and to a high-quality standard to businesses across the UK.
Ayjay Group’s existing client base will be among the first to benefit from these installations over the coming months, and the company will function as Voltalis’ strategic partner for all commercial installations in the UK.
Increase in bills
According to a recent report developed for Ofgem and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), nearly two-thirds (64%) of businesses experienced an increase in gas and/or electricity bills in the last 12 months.
Further, almost six in ten (58%) reported concerns about the impact of energy prices on their business, with 42% stating they were very concerned.
Voltalis’ free and easy-to-intechnology connects to existing electric heating and cooling appliances, turning them into ‘smart appliances’ that can be managed through Voltalis software.
This gives end users access to data and a level of control over their energy usage never experienced before – all for free and without the need for major infrastructure changes.
Ambitious decarbonisation targets
Dr Randall Bowen, managing director of Voltalis UK, said, “Achieving the UK’s ambitious decarbonisation targets will need innovative solutions and skilled experts to come together at speed and at scale.
“Our partnership with Ayjay Group made a lot of strategic sense: they are at the top of the electrical field, and they have the same commitment to proven quality and high environmental standards that we hold ourselves to. We look forward to powering the adoption of Voltalis’ technology with their skilled and ready workforce, across the nation.”
Simon Beament director of Ayjay Group, added, “At Ayjay Group, we have always prided ourselves on our deep understanding of customer challenges and opportunities when it comes to electrical installation, building management and electrical control systems.
“It’s clear that demand response solutions will play a big part in evolving the UK’s journey to net zero. So, we are excited that this partnership with Voltalis will not only help us to boost our existing range of electrical solutions to include demand response tech, ensuring we can continue to offer a complete turn-key electrical service to our clients, but it will also further our ability to help UK businesses to slash their carbon footprint without a heavy lift or upfront financial hit on their part.”
