This collaborative week of action is designed for local authority officers, installers, consultants, community organizations, academics, and green economy professionals who are working towards creating greener, more resilient South West homes.

The West of England Retrofit Summit, online over the mornings of 25-27 March, hosted by Retrofit West, the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and Future Leap kicks off the week to explore the opportunities and the challenges facing the sector and sets the scene for all the activities happening throughout the week of action.

The summit’s comprehensive agenda will explore diverse avenues for growth, focusing on business opportunities for retrofit businesses and streamlined SME procurement, clarifying retrofit language and adapting delivery models for historic buildings to empowering local communities.

Notably, the crucial role of women in driving industry transformation will be highlighted. Each morning will feature expert speakers, offering insights into business growth, securing retrofit contracts, and engaging homeowners and communities.

Attendees can drop in each morning to suit their schedule and hear from industry leaders like Simon Andrews and Abby Hanley of Retrofit West, Sara Grimes of Bath & West Community Energy, Jessie Agnew of West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, and Hannah Spungin of Bristol City Leap. The daily program includes live Q&A panels and themed breakout discussions with Thought Leader Partner EcoFurb.

Over Retrofit Action Week, there’ll be a fantastic range of free-to-attend local retrofit events, including a Green Construction Workshop, Home Energy Fair, Heat Pump Spotlight, Site Visit to south Bristol homes, Retrofit Assessments Guidance, networking opportunities, plus great resources to discover.
