REA welcomes decision on fourth carbon budget

The REA has welcomed the government’s confirmation today that the Fourth Carbon Budget, setting greenhouse gas emissions limits for the period 2023 to 2027, will be set in line with the advice of the Committee on Climate Change and the target in the Climate Change Act of an 80 percent reduction in emissions by 2050 (compared to 1990 levels).
