Daikin UK has welcomed a new Jobcentre Plus scheme to help unemployed installers back into work. The programme, designed in partnership with the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies, is designed to provide out of work plumbers, heating engineers and electricians with an opportunity to learn new ‘green’ skills. This should make them more employable in a job market open increasingly to those trained in renewable energy systems.
